How do I find my textbooks?

How do I fix my problem ordering?
If you are having problems with freight charges, finish adding all items to your cart, then put a zero '0' in each of the freight and insurance item quantities and click the Update Quantities button. Then add your freight and insurance again using the drop-down options and you should have the calculated freight correct. If overseas freight looks expensive, it's not a bug - it is expensive.

You can view and order your textbooks and TAFE resources on our website.
TAFE students can search for individual resources using their code e.g. BSBOHS401B
High school students can find resources under Books->Education->High School. If there's something not listed, please contact us.
There are two easy ways to search by course:
- Just put a course code (e.g. PSYC19039 for CQUniversity or BSB41407 for TAFE) into the search box on any page and hit Search...
- To view and order all your textbooks at once, select Books -> Textbook Search from the drop-down menus, put in your Campus (ie: Flex) , Year (ie: 2013) and Term (ie: Term 1) and your 9 or 8-character course codes (e.g. PSYC19039 or BSB41407) and click Submit. Each book has its Stock Level and Order Status displayed. Click on any to see more information.
Important notes...
- If nothing is shown, check with your Course Coordinator.
- All orders are dispatched from our Rockhampton store.
- Textbook requirements are subject to change before the start of each term.
- Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds if your course coordinator changes your texts before the term starts.
If you do not have a Credit Card you can also download an order form and return it to us along with a Cheque or Money Order. These forms are available on our website under Information -> Order Forms. Phone Orders are also welcome (see Information).

- Campus store trading hours
- Stock levels reflect actual stock.
- Online orders are filled and shipped from the Rockhampton Campus Store. Textbooks located at other stores are generally kept for students at that campus. Online orders for items other than textbooks located at another campus will usually be transferred to Rockhampton for dispatch.
- Non-stocked items (including textbooks) will be backordered and dispatched upon arrival (at no extra freight cost). Customers will be notified if significant delays are expected in transferring stock for dispatch.
- Textbook publishers normally don't give us firm dates for delivery (they are handling bulk international shipments to all Australian universities).
- If an ordered item isn't available and we can't source it from another campus store or supplier in a reasonable time, the item will be removed from your order and you will be notified. You will not be charged for the removed item or its freight.
- Regional campus stores cannot accept phone orders. However, orders can be placed in person at the store (delivery charges may apply.)
- You can search by Author, Title or ISBN/APN. If one fails, try another.
- Searches are not case-sensitive, 'history' and 'HISTORY' will yield the same result.
- Think of alternate terms which may describe your item, i.e. notebook or laptop, bag or case.
- Searches are alphabetic from the starting point which you specify as the search text. Therefore "Paters" will yield 'Paterson A', 'Paterson A B', 'Paterson K', etc.
- Wildcards may be used in keyword searching (eg: "ca*" will match to 'cat', 'cab', 'Canberra', 'catastrophe', etc.)
- Trivial words (eg: is, the, of) will be disregarded for keyword searches.
- If you can't add items to the cart, you are probably having cookie issues, either with the browser, antivirus/security software, or a firewall/proxy (normally in a workplace). First try clearing your browser's cookie's (see WikiHow) and then try ordering again.
- We do not support Internet Explorer 6. (You can see your browser version by looking under Help (alt-H)->About) For security and compatibility reasons, we recommend you use the latest version of Google Chrome (preferred), Internet Explorer or Firefox.
- You must have Javascript and cookies enabled to use this site. An unnecessarily high Privacy or Security level in your browser may stop these and other site functions from working properly. In firefox, select "Accept cookies from sites." In Internet Explorer 7, select no higher than Medium privacy.

- If you can't view some content, try resizing your browser (making it fill up more of the screen) and then try scrolling down to view content that may be hidden at the bottom.
- Our recommended Web Browser is Google Chrome.
Using this browser resolves most technical problems customers report. (Technical note: Our site is also regularly tested with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and mobile browsers, but our content is often rendered slightly less useable in some of these, in particular incongruities with IE7 div/css alignment and unintuitive 'fading' mouseover form behaviour in Opera. Internet Explorer 8 may require 'compatibility' mode to display some search result pages properly.) - Minimum Screen Resolution to view the site is 1024x768. The site should be usable in 800x600 but some scrolling around may be required to view content.
- There are some forms and agreement documents on our site that require either Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Reader (.pdf). We recommend right-clicking on these links and saving the documents to your computer before opening them.

Christmas 2011 Freight Deadlines Terms and Conditions
- Freight Delivery Deadlines are an indicator (guide) only and are only presented for the convenience of our customers to try to help avoid disappointment. They are based on what we reasonably expect freight services to be able to achieve, but ultimately delivery is beyond our control once the goods leave the store.
- Deadlines only apply to items in stock at Rockhampton Campus Store. Items not in stock or that need to be transferred from other campus stores for dispatch will most likely take longer to be delivered.
- CQUni Bookshop accepts no liability for goods or services not delivered by Christmas.
January-February 2013 Free Surface Postage Promotion Terms and Conditions
- Offer valid for any online order placed from the 18th of January 2013 until 5pm on the 28th of February 2013.
Alumni Free Surface Postage Promotion Terms and Conditions
- Offer valid for all online Alumni orders placed using click-through code.
- Offer only valid for Surface Post within Australia.

Mystery Prize Promotion Terms and Conditions
- Offer valid for all valid recipients of promotion using click-through. Should be redeemed with an order, but if you really want to pay postage to find out what it is, feel free! Can be combined with Free Postage offer, but please note the full Terms and Conditions of that offer before doing so. We're not going to send you the Mystery Prize by itself with Free Freight. That would be too much. We're not that generous. We just want to say thank you for doing the thing you did to get the Mystery Prize.
- Offer valid for any Postage Type.

Academic Software Terms & Conditions
Academic and educational versions of software may be purchased by staff of primary, secondary & tertiary institutions and students of Universities and TAFE colleges. Your order will not be processed until proof of student or staff status has been sent to our Rockhampton office. Address and Fax details can be found here.

CQUni Bookshop Terms & Conditions
For the purposes of the following:
‘CQUni Bookshop’ refers to the Central Queensland University Bookshop.
‘defective or damaged’ means items that either do not match the product description, are not in reasonable condition (e.g. a misbound book), or are faulty. CQUni Bookshop reserves the right to verify whether any item (including electronic goods, computer software, hardware and peripherals) are defective or damaged.
‘original condition’ means items in original shrink-wrapping with any enclosed CDs, disks, licenses or passwords unopened, unwashed and with any tags intact.
Refund and Replacement claims are only considered for CQUniversity logo clothing, defective or damaged items. Claims must be made within three working days of receipt and the merchandise received by CQUni Bookshop no later than 14 days after the claim. CQUniversity logo clothing may only be returned for a replacement garment of the same type in a different size (an 'exchange'). Handling fees and freight charges will apply if a claim is rejected. All items must be securely wrapped in original condition and accompanied by a copy of the receipt and a written claim. CQUni Bookshop undertakes to promptly process your claim and notify you of the outcome.
Shipping and handling expenses will only be refunded if you received the wrong item or a damaged item, and you will not be charged additional freight to receive a replacement item.
Refunds will be credited only to the credit card used in the original transaction.
All prices are correct at the time of online publication. Prices are subject to change without notice. Online pricing may differ from prices available in campus stores.
Unless stated otherwise by the Customer in the Comments section of the order, selecting the Australian Air Express method of delivery gives authority for the goods to be left at the nominated address without signature.
Placing an order with CQUni Bookshop constitutes an agreement to abide by these terms and conditions in so far as they do not violate statutory consumer rights.
