To claim mentor discounts or leave instructions for our Mail Order department when ordering, we provide a large Comments field on the Order Confirmation page where you enter your address and payment details.

If you are having problems with freight charges, finish adding all items to your cart, then put a zero '0' in each of the freight and insurance item quantities and click the Update Quantities button. Then add your freight and insurance again using the drop-down options and you should have the calculated freight correct. If overseas freight looks expensive, it's not a bug - it is expensive.

Guide to Ordering Textbooks

You can view and order your textbooks on our website.

There are two easy ways to find your textbooks:

1. Just put a course code (ie: PSYC19039) into the search box on any page and hit Search...
2. To view and order all your textbooks at once, click Books, put in your Campus (ie: Flex) , Year (ie: 2008) and Term (ie: Term 2) and your 9-character course codes (ie: PSYC19039) and click Submit. Each book has its Stock Level and Order Status displayed. Click on any to see more information.

Important notes...

• If nothing is shown, check with your Course Coordinator.
• All orders are dispatched from our Rockhampton store.
• Textbook requirements are subject to change before the start of each term.
• Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds if your course coordinator changes your texts before the term starts.

If you do not have a Credit Card you can also download an order form and return it to us along with a Cheque or Money Order. These forms are available on our website under Information -> Order Forms. Phone Orders are also welcome (see Information).

Search Guide

• You can search by Author, Title or ISBN/APN. If one fails, try another.
• Searches are not case-sensitive, 'history' and 'HISTORY' will yield the same result.
• Think of alternate terms which may describe your item, i.e. notebook or laptop, bag or case.
• Searches are alphabetic from the starting point which you specify as the search text. Therefore "Paters" will yield 'Paterson A', 'Paterson A B', 'Paterson K', etc.
• Wildcards may be used in keyword searching (eg: "ca*" will match to 'cat', 'cab', 'Canberra', 'catastrophe', etc.)
• Trivial words (eg: is, the, of) will be disregarded for keyword searches.

Browser Troubleshooting

• You must have Javascript and cookies enabled to use this site. An unnecessarily high Privacy or Security level in your browser may stop these and other site functions from working properly. In firefox, select "Accept cookies from sites." In Internet Explorer 7, select no higher than Medium privacy.

• If you can't view some content, try resizing your browser (making it fill up more of the screen) and then try scrolling down to view content that may be hidden at the bottom.
• Our recommended Web Browser is Firefox 3. Using this browser resolves most technical problems customers report. (Technical note: Our site is also regularly tested with Internet Explorer 7 and Opera, but our content is rendered slightly less useable in either of these browsers, in particular incongruities with IE7 div/css alignment and unintuitive 'fading' mouseover form behaviour in Opera.)
• Minimum Screen Resolution to view the site is 1024x768. The site should be usable in 800x600 but some scrolling around may be required to view content.
• There are some forms and agreement documents on our site that require either Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Reader (.pdf). We recommend right-clicking on these links and saving the documents to your computer before opening them.

July 2007 Verbatim Promotion Terms & Conditions

• All CQUni Bookshop customers are eligible to enter the July 2007 Verbatim promotion, unless they are employees of the CQUni Bookshop or located outside Australia.
• Only the two Verbatim optical media items shown in the advertisement qualify for entry, and these must be purchased between the 1st and 31st of July 2007.
  
• Multiple entries are allowed, one per item. (each spindle of 50 discs is considered a single item).
• There are 4 (four) prizes, each 1 (single) Verbatim 4GB USB2 Flash Drive.
• All prizes will be drawn during July and August 2007 and winners will be notified by phone and email.
• The outcome of the prize draws will be final, with no dispute entered into. Unclaimed prizes will be held for a minimum of one (1) calendar month.
• CQUni Bookshop will pay for Australia Post Surface Freight of prizes to winners.

Academic Software Terms & Conditions

Academic and educational versions of software may be purchased by staff of primary, secondary & tertiary institutions and students of Universities and TAFE colleges. Your order will not be processed until proof of student or staff status has been sent to our Rockhampton office. Address and Fax details can be found here.

Stationery Free Freight Terms & Conditions

No freight fee will be charged when stationery is sent with other items (i.e. a book order).

An order comprising entirely of stationery will be charged our normal minimum freight fee (i.e. for a single item) for the category of freight chosen, i.e. Surface, Express or International. For example, a consignment of five notebooks where a user selects Surface Post will be charged our normal Single Item Surface Post charge. Adding additional stationery to this order won't increase the charge.

CQUni Bookshop Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of the following:

‘CQUni Bookshop’ refers to the Central Queensland University Bookshop.

‘defective or damaged’ means items that either do not match the product description, are not in reasonable condition (e.g. a misbound book), or are faulty. CQUni Bookshop reserves the right to verify whether any item (including electronic goods, computer software, hardware and peripherals) are defective or damaged.

‘original condition’ means items in original shrink-wrapping with any enclosed CDs, disks, licenses or passwords unopened.

Refund and Replacement claims are only considered for defective or damaged items. Claims must be made within three working days of receipt and the merchandise received by CQUni Bookshop no later than 14 days after the claim. Handling fees and freight charges will apply if a claim is rejected. All items must be securely wrapped in original condition and accompanied by a copy of the receipt and a written claim. CQUni Bookshop undertakes to promptly process your claim and notify you of the outcome.

Shipping and handling expenses will only be refunded if you received the wrong item or a damaged item, and you will not be charged additional freight to receive a replacement item.

Refunds will be credited only to the credit card used in the original transaction.

All prices are correct at the time of online publication. Prices are subject to change without notice. Online pricing may differ from prices available in campus stores.

Unless stated otherwise by the Customer in the Comments section of the order, selecting the Australian Air Express method of delivery gives authority for the goods to be left at the nominated address without signature.

Placing an order with CQUni Bookshop constitutes an agreement to abide by these terms and conditions in so far as they do not violate statutory consumer rights.
